The MSCSC is a group of fanciers who promote quality & standards in Miniature Schnauzer breeding, and strive to advance the best interests of the breed. We also conduct AKC-licensed specialty shows & obedience trials.

This club has existed in Southern California for more than 50 years, and it still maintains an excellent reputation among the dog fancy.

This website is provided for members of the public who love the breed and for those who may be interested in learning more prior to acquiring a puppy or older dog as a pet. A calendar of our scheduled shows and other events as well as a list of club contacts may be found within these pages.     **The club's winter specialty will be held on Jan. 2, 2009, in conjunction with the Desert Empire Terrier Club on Friday of the Palm Springs show weekend. The shows are held in Indio at Empire polo grounds.

    •      Breed Description
    Miniature Schnauzers are hardy dogs, originally bred to be ratters on German farms. They are alert, feisty animals of a suitable size to be good companions and eager to share your couch. They do not shed, so they often can be enjoyed by persons who are allergic to other breeds of dogs. They are good watch dogs, alerting to intruders, but are not given to mindless barking if properly trained.
