Puppy Referral

The MSCSC makes every effort to assist you in finding a reputable, ethical, and responsible breeder. Our club members contact the Puppy Referral Chair to list any puppies available. When you call or e-mail, the Puppy Chair will provide you with names, telephone numbers and/or e-mail addresses of breeders who meet your expressed criteria - i.e. geographical location, color, price, age of pups.
Occasionally, non-club members are permitted to list puppies they have bred using a stud dog owned by a member of the club. The club puppy referral service is simply a service; it is no guarantee of puppy health or any level of breeder responsibility. It is the puppy buyer's responsibility to ask questions and determine whether or not any breeder meets the standards the buyer should have set prior to actually looking for a puppy.
For puppy referral, please complete this 5-question form so that we may assist you more efficiently: Puppy Referral Information Request
If you should experience any difficulty with the Information form, you may alternatively e-mail puppy@mscsc.org
Either method will return to you a list of breeders with puppies; however, the information form will return a list tailored specifically to your requests.
Breed Rescue

Members of The Miniature Schnauzer Club of Southern California are dedicated to finding good homes for all rescued Miniature Schnauzers.
Rescued Mini Schnauzers may be of all color varieties, all ages, both sexes, different activity levels, and a range of sizes.
Rescued dogs normally come from a variety of sources. It isn't unusual that people are required to move and can't keep their dog. Occasionally, individuals acquire a dog & then find that it doesn't fit their lifestyle.
Rescued dogs may also need a new home if their owners pass away and no family or friends are willing or able to adopt the dog. Sometimes Mini Schnauzers are rescued from animal shelters. If a dog can be identified by microchip or information from the person relinquishing the dog, it may be returned to its breeder to find a suitable home. If not, our rescue people will foster the dog until a suitable placement is found.
The majority of rescued dogs have been well-loved pets and already have good social behavior and house training. A smaller number of these dogs may require extra attention from the right person/family if they are older or have an age-related health issue.
If you are interested in adopting a rescue dog, please e-mail rescue@mscsc.org. We will discuss your needs, the dog's needs, and try to match you with the appropriate animal.
